favourite film

"A brain, a princess, an athlete , a basket case and a criminal, does that answer your question, sincerely yours , The Breakfast Club."
Year made: 1985
Director: John Hughes

I think the Breakfast Club is one of my favorite films because of the dialogue. From the quick humor of the scripts sarcastic's dark under tone to the depressing and heart felt monologues of the characters in secrets, I feel like everyone who has gone though the ups and downs of high school adolescents can relate and it touches on a profound messages which many people have while growing up. Even though it was made before I was born, I think that every line is still relevant today. The characters are all memorable. Even though they are they stereotypes, the characters are still original, they have a heart warming quality.

What I find practically interesting is that most is shot in one location, all in one room. There are other places but there a few and far between, the setting is the school large library, the halls, a couple of classes and the outside of the high school.
The famous library scene, which captures the ideology
                                           of high schoolers.

The characters is what make the movie, as the shots are more simple. The costumes are also something of wonder as well. The are simple costumes which show off the time and character.
The girls (Claire and Allison) have contrasting clothing colours. Little details are what really pay off in this film. Such as the eye rings given to Bender ( Judd Nelson).
The sweet ending scene which shows the couple Bender
and Claire, which shows the innocents of young teenage love.

The shots of the film are also very good artistic choices, they are all very remembered by audiences, the school setting gives the film a naturalistic feel, engaging the audience, who if adults would jog there memory.
The characters would also let audiences relate, to there struggle of individuality and the ignorance of the adults and teachers around them.

Overall I find this to be my favorite movie as the dialogue, the characters and the beautiful music score really hits hard and is the most relatable movie I've seen.
